Established in 1901 as one of the first chemical engineering programs in the nation, the School has a distinguished history of providing education to students who have become leaders in industrial organizations and universities. That tradition continues today, expanding to include research at the forefront of many traditional and nontraditional areas of chemical engineering.

Ranked among the top engineering programs in the nation, our program is also one of the oldest, largest, and most diverse in the world. With more than 40 full-time faculty members who are leaders in their fields, state-of-the-art research facilities, and access to numerous opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration, our program is unlike any other.
