2) ChBE SAB Course Scheduler
Confused about what classes to take, whether you've completed the proper electives, or if the class is being offered next semester? Worry no more--your Student Advisory Board has been working on an online program that will allow you to input your intended class schedule and check it over for mistakes. The program is available on the Course Scheduler Menu.

3) Registration Advisement:
Undergraduate student members of the ChBE Student Advisory Board will have office hours when summer and fall registration begins. Feel free to stop by for advice on scheduling classes, prerequisites, course professors, etc. The office hours will take place for three weeks from March 24 through April 10 during the following times:

-Mondays 6-7pm
-Tuesdays 3-4pm
-Wednesdays 3-4pm
-Thursdays 11-12pm, 6-7pm

4) Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers College-to-Career Fair

This event has been designed to assist students in locating opportunities for internships, part-time and full-time, post-graduation jobs.  Many of Georgia's most prestigious colleges and universities have solicited recruiters from their employer databases to attend this event. 

The fair will be held on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 at the Cobb Galleria in Atlanta, Georgia.
Workshop for Participants: 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. 
Career Fair: 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Visit the following site http://www.gace.org/careerfair/ and view the list of attending companies.  We suggest that you research the organizations so you can impress them with your knowledge of their needs and their industry.

Make sure you wear professional attire.  A conservative business suit is your best bet.  Remember...you have one chance to make a good impression!

4) Outstanding Senior Award:
The AIChE Student Chapter is again sponsoring the Outstanding Senior Award this year. A template for the nomination form is attached. You can nominate someone else or yourself. Supporting letters and documentation as well as an assessment of your activities by others in any organization(s) you have served are very important to the decision-making process of the ChBE Awards Committee.

Please note that the deadline for receipt of the nominations and supporting documents at my office is March 20, 2008 by 5 pm. Professor Pradeep Agrawal would accept the supporting letters via e-mail, provided that the person writing it also mails me a hard copy of the same.

2) Relay for Life
Now is the time to sign up with AIChE for the annual Relay for Life at Georgia Tech. The Relay is an annual event put on by the American Cancer Society to raise money and awareness for finding a cure for cancer. It's an all-night relay marathon, and is a lot of fun to take part in.

3) AIChE High School Outreach
AIChE sends out chemical engineering students each semester to local high schools to reach out to students and encourage them to consider an education in chemical engineering. Currently we give presentations and perform demos to chemistry and AP chemistry classes in local high schools, and we are seeking to expand the program to include high school mentoring, or partnership with another GT mentoring program.

2) Undergraduate Consulting Club applications:
The UCC is recruiting for new and talented members with a passion for consulting to join the organization. We have had many successful events in the past such as the recent Consulting Career Expo with Boston Consulting, Bain & Co., Deloitte, Accenture, and Kurt Salmon Associates. The application deadline is February 15.

3) Corporate Blitz:

Corporate Blitz Night is somewhat like a career fair (at night), but so much more! Students will have the opportunity to speak with many company recruiters, enjoy free food, and even win prizes! Recruiting companies in attendance will have a tables set up in the Klaus Atrium for students to speak with reps just like a career fair. In the Klaus Seminar Room hors d'oeurves, desserts, and beverages will be served all evening! Students will also have the opportunity to participate in raffles and contests in the Seminar Room as well. About 25 companies will be attending.

Pre-Registration is not required. Admission is free. Please bring copies of your resumes and dress business casual or better for entry.
