- Development of novel biocatalysts
- Investigation and enhancement of protein stability
- Data-driven protein engineering
Professor Bommarius’ teaching interests emphasize chemical and biomolecular engineering courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels. His current portfolio includes Drug Design, Development, and Delivery (D4), Bio Capstone Design, Sustainable Chemistry, as well as Kinetics and Reactor Design. His approach includes integrating fundamental principles with practical applications, often drawn from his industrial experience before coming to Georgia Tech.
